2017 GRANTS

Arts for Learning. A $15,000 grant to provide afternoon experiential arts integration programming for New Britain’s Summer Enrichment Experience Program.

Boys and Girls Club of New Britain. A $5,000 grant for the Club’s Peer-to-Peer Game Room Socialization initiative.

CCARC. A $20,000 grant in support of the Personal Education and Enrichment through Respite Services (PEERS) Programs.

Children’s Law Center. A $7,500 grant for expansion of the Legal Representation and Families in Transition (FIT) programs.

Coram Deo. A $20,000 grant for the Client Care Program.

Farmington High School. A $10,000 grant to support the Vance Village Elementary School (New Britain) Tutoring Program.

Foodshare. A $20,000 grant in support of Foodshare’s work to address hunger in the New Britain community through the Mobile Foodshare Program.

Friendship Service Center. A $20,000 grant for the Emergency Shelter and Community Kitchen to support the poor and homeless population.

Greater New Britain Teen Pregnancy Prevention. A $10,000 grant for general operating support to maintain and enhance the program’s long-term comprehensive, results-cased teen pregnancy prevention efforts.

Klingberg Family Centers. A $10,000 grant to support the Positive Parenting Program.

Literacy Volunteers of Central Connecticut. A $10,000 grant for general operating support to improve the literacy of adult students and their families in New Britain.

New Britain ROOTS. A $13,500 grant for the New Britain Mobile Farmers’ Market to provide healthy food options to residents with low access to such food.

Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters. A $10,000 grant for the Community-Based Mentoring Program.

Prudence Crandall Center. A $20,000 grant for community education and prevention services.

Senior Transportation Services. A $15,000 grant to expand transportation services in New Britain and Berlin.

Veterans, Inc. A $16,765 grant for a resident advisor (RA) position at the housing facility in New Britain.

YWCA Strive. A $15,000 grant to support the youth development program.
